Gabriel Šaffa, M.Sc. begins an Erasmus traineeship at the DFG Center. An ecologist by training, he joins us from Prešov University, Slovakia.
Gabriel Šaffa will be working with Dr. Lumila Menéndez on isotopic data from South American populations. Erasmus traineeships are supported by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ program for education, training, youth, and sport. Erasmus traineeships are for undergraduate and graduate students at universities in the European Union and associated states. Students interested in conducting a traineeship with the DFG Center should first contact their local Erasmus+ office. For further information, please visit this website. The DFG Collaborative Research Center 833 “The Construction of Meaning: The Dynamics and Adaptivity of Linguistics Structures” (DFG SFB 833) at the University of Tübingen host the Linguistic Evidence Conference.
The Linguistic Evidence conference series is a meeting place for linguists who wish to improve the empirical adequacy of linguistic theory and linguistic analysis. A central aim is to more closely integrate data-driven and theory-driven approaches to the study of language systems, language behavior, and language functions. Interdisciplinary work in which linguistics cooperate with academics in adjacent fields is particularly welcome. The conference, now in its eight edition, is hosted by the DFG Collaborative Research Center 833, of which DFG Center Principal Investigator Prof. Gerhard Jäger is a part.
